Teenage Crazy About Leather Jackets

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

As a social worker, I’m of the opinion that the teenage stage will pass and I will again have a tight relationship with my girl, but knowing this doesn’t make daily life with her any simpler. The moodiness and attitude issues are quite trying to address. She’s under stress to have material stuff like her pals, yet these things conflicted with the values of our home.

She doesn’t have her very own cell telephone and we won’t get her an ipod. We have decided that for Xmas she will be able to have a leather jacket. She’s been asking for one for many months. My partner and I both own a leather jacket and they’re nice and warm for our cold winter months. I wanted her to have something to open on Yuletide and I didn’t wish to limit her search for the ideal jacket by giving her a gift token.

We bought her a leather purse and put a note within that she could pick out a jacket to match. She was extraordinarily excited and chuffed with the present. I was happy I had waited till after the vacations to purchase it because they were on sale. We also found a headband and mittens to wear with it. We found another leather jacket that was in red. The leather was very soft and the design was quite unique. It wasn’t as practical as the black one, yet it looked extraordinarily lovable on my child.

It was 60 % off so I acquired it for her. After we made the purchases we went out for a late lunch. It looked like old times having my child enjoy my company and to have her speaking to me like she had during the past.

I told her that I was enjoying the day and her company. She thanked me again for the two jackets as well as the purse. I’m of the opinion that we’re going to have more down days again, but it was good to have the special shopping day together.
